JOB TITLE:             PERSONNEL ANALYST III- HR GENERALIST
DEPARTMENT:      HUMAN RESOURCES
GRADE:                    17
SALARY:                  $79,001 OR COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
LOCATION:             69 WEST WASHINGTON STREET, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

           
Job Summary and Duties:
  • Responsible for assisting in the recruitment of new employees including but not limited to posting of job descriptions, managing an applicant tracking system, phone screening, testing, scheduling interviews, reference checking, initiating offers and providing rejection communication
  • Assists with the ongoing development and execution of recruiting plans
  • Assists with developing a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need for high turnover positions
  • Provides updated reports to management regarding all staffing issues on a regular basis
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Maintain spreadsheet of employment application information
  • Administer clerical skills testing to employment applicants as needed
  • Assist with FMLA case management
  • Assists with the administration of pre-employment testing, new hire orientation preparation and implementation, and employment paperwork/documentation including I-9/Employment Eligibility Verification and benefits information.
  • Assists with providing documentation and witness participation of unemployment hearings.
  • Provides administrative support regarding the understanding of payroll processing.
  • Creates and maintains spreadsheets, databases, and current policy/procedure documents
  • Maintains extreme confidentiality
  • Assists with administration of the discipline process
  • Record, organize, and distribute AOIC probation applications
  • General administrative duties: type correspondence, memoranda, and other documents, create spreadsheets and keep statistics, scan documents, file documents and other materials, answer telephones and direct calls.
  • Perform receptionist duties for Human Resources Department as needed.
  • Order supplies for the Human Resources Department
  • Ensure that incoming and outgoing mail is properly retrieved and distributed
  • Process requests and schedule identification badge appointments for new hires and existing employees as needed
  • Assist with annual CCLRE Mock Trial program as needed
  • Data entry
  • Run reports as directed
  • Provides administration for worker’s compensation
  • Assists with administrative tasks related to management of labor issues, collective bargaining agreements, employee relations issues, staffing, and other highly sensitive and confidential matters. Continual employee and management interaction requiring strong communication and follow up skills.
  • Other responsibilities as operational needs require and as directed by the Human Resources Administrator or the Chief Judge

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • Familiarity with human resource information systems and payroll systems preferred
  • Excellent customer service delivery
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with court personnel, court users, and the public
  • Ability and willingness to get along with others
  • Computer skills, including excellent typing skills and the ability to create documents and spreadsheets in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen
  • Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk
  • Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation
  • Strength to lift files
  • Use telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis
